Dharamshala — Chinese authorities arrested a group of Tibetans, including a well-known Tibetan entrepreneur and internet celebrity, in the name of Chinese political campaign the "sweep the black and eliminate the evil”. The entrepreneur has helped Tibetan students, the disabled and small entrepreneurs, and has also been involved in charity work and disaster relief.

Dharamshala — Tibetan writer and poet Rongwo Gendun Lhundup of Rebgong county, northeast Tibet, has been released after four years in unjust imprisonment for speaking out about the plight of Tibetan writers. Renowned Tibetan environmentalist and philanthropist Karma Samdrup was also released yesterday after 15 years of unfair imprisonment for protecting Tibet's environment.

Dharamshala — Tibetan language rights activist Tashi Wangchuk detained again by Chinese authorities on October 22, 2024, over allegedly spreading misinformation about China and making accusations against government policy in his videos on the social media. He was released after 15 days in detention.

Dharamshala — Chinese police detained a Tibetan monk named Losel from Sera monastery in Lhasa, Tibet, on suspicion of sharing information about Tibet with Tibetans in exile. He died as a result of the beatings, ill-treatment and torture he suffered during his detention.

Dharamshala — Chinese authorities detained the young Tibetan, who recently posted videos, to expose the illegal extraction of sand by Chinese company in his region, in Gakog county, Ngawa, Tibet. Instead of solving the problems of local Tibetans and the damage being done to the environment, the Chinese authorities detained the Tibetan and interrogated him about his recent videos. Tibetans are very concerned about his well-being.

Dharamshala – A courageous young Tibetan openly criticised the Chinese government for not taking any action against the Chinese company illegally sand mining and destroying vast areas of riverbank, during the construction of a road on the banks of a river in Gakog county, Ngawa, Tibet.
