Dharamshala — Chinese traffickers continue to abduct children, not only in China but also in Tibet, they are now going into Tibetan areas and starting to abduct Tibetan children. One source said that more than 30 Tibetan children have been abducted and once they have been stolen, it is very difficult to get them back; very recently, around seven-year-old Tibetan girl was abducted in Zamthang county, in Tibet.

Dharamshala — Tibetan rights activist Tsering Tso has once again been detained by the Chinese authorities for protecting the rights of Tibetan monks, when they were banned from pilgrimage to Shigatse, in Tibet. She asked the authorities why Chinese people can travel anywhere but Tibetans cannot travel in their own land.

Dharamshala — Shang Gaden Chökhorling Monastery, Nepal, Tibetans from the Chatreng Community and the Phari Community offered long-life prayers to His Holiness the Dalai Lama on Wednesday. His Holiness said that thousands of people come to see him regularly and appreciate what he does. He therefore believes that the longer he lives, the better he will be able to serve sentient beings and the Dharma.

Dharamshala — The Central Tibetan Administration (CTA) and Tibetans mourned the passing away of former CTA Kalon (minister) Tashi Wandi, who served the Tibetan people and the Tibetan cause in Tibet's most difficult and critical situation. He was known for his simplicity and honesty.

Dharamshala —The Tibet Museum celebrated its 25th anniversary on Wednesday with the inauguration of a temporary exhibition, "Women of Tibet." They paid tribute to the courageous Tibetan women who have contributed to Tibet's freedom struggle, education, religion, culture, and society since the Chinese occupation of the country in 1959.

Dharamshala — The Central Tibetan Administration (CTA), Tashi Lhunpo Monastery and Tibetans around the world celebrated the 36th birthday of the 11th Panchen Lama of Tibet and called on the Chinese government to release the Panchen Lama, his parents and his teacher.
