New Delhi — Representatives of Tibetan NGOs met with over 30 Indian MPs from 16 different states and eight different political parties over the course of a week. They urged the MPs to recognise and reaffirm that Tibet was historically an independent nation prior to the forced invasion and occupation of Tibet by the People's Republic of China (PRC) since 1950, and to affirm the Indo-Tibetan border. The MPs expressed their deep concern over China's border incursions and their sincere sympathy regarding the issue of Tibetan boarding schools, recognising the serious threat they pose to the preservation of Tibetan identity.

Dharamshala — Central Tibetan Administration commemorated 36th anniversary of conferment of the Nobel Peace Prize on His Holiness the Dalai Lama and Human Rights Day in Dharamshala. The Tibetan Parliament-in-exile (TPiE) states, 'With regard to the situation in Tibet, the Chinese government not only denies all political, religious, linguistic and other freedoms and rights, but basic freedoms, including freedom of movement in all its aspects, remain problematic and are constantly violated. The Chinese government also forcibly blockade truthful  investigation into the real situation in the region, while spreading distorted and unfounded information.'

Dharamshala — Central Tibetan Administration commemorated 36th anniversary of conferment of the Nobel Peace Prize on His Holiness the Dalai Lama and Human Rights Day in Dharamshala. Delegation from Chile stated: "We reject China's illegitimate claims regarding the recognition of the next Dalai Lama. We denounce China's occupation of Tibet and its serious human rights violations, including the destruction of monasteries, forced displacement, restrictions on freedoms, and the forced assimilation of nearly one million Tibetan children. We urge the international community to take action to protect Tibetan culture and identity."

Dharamshala — Two former Special Frontier Force (SFF) veterans, Lodoe Palden and Jamyang Tenzin, launched a 90-day motorbike campaign to honour His Holiness the Dalai Lama's Year of Compassion and express their deep gratitude to India. They also wish to draw attention to China's systematic erasure of Tibetan identity and urge India to reaffirm the historical reality that its border is with Tibet, not China. This campaign aims to strengthen Indo-Tibetan ties, defend the truth, and protect Tibet's cultural and national identity.

Dharamshala — Kelsang Dorjee Aukatsang announced on Wednesday his candidacy for the 2026 Sikyong election. He has made three core commitments if elected: first, Unity – strengthening cohesion across generations, regions and the global diaspora, and making the CTA a more engaged and trusted institution. Second, Rebalancing Towards Advocacy: refocusing the CTA on its core mission of advancing the cause of Tibet through stronger global engagement, increased investment in resources, and a "Look North" strategy. Thirdly, Self-Reliance & Financial Resilience - recovering lost resources, diversifying support, and building a stable financial foundation for our institutions and community.

Dharamshala — His Holiness the Dalai Lama met more than 180 Chinese monks and nuns from three Taiwanese monasteries on wednesday. His Holiness said,"With the passage of time, things have greatly deteriorated inside Tibet. Since I arrived here in exile, I have continued to study the great texts as much as I could. I would like to thank the Dharma friends who have provided favourable conditions and removed obstacles to this. As I mentioned earlier, we kept the purest collection of Buddhist teachings in the world alive in Tibet."
