Dharamshala — The office of His Holiness the Dalai Lama has confirmed that His Holiness had no connection with Epstein, in response to recent press articles and social media posts concerning the ‘Epstein files’ that attempt to link His Holiness the Dalai Lama with Jeffrey Epstein. The office stated: ''We can unequivocally confirm that His Holiness has never met Jeffrey Epstein or authorised any meeting or interaction with him by anyone on His Holiness’s behalf," the office confirmed.

Dharamshala — Tibetans in Dharamshala celebrate His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama's Grammy Award and condemn the Chinese government's false accusations against His Holiness the Dalai Lama. TYC said, “we firmly rejects these allegations and categorically denounces them as baseless, politically motivated rhetoric intended to divert international attention from China's continued repression in Tibet.”

Dharamshala — Tibetans living in 27 democratic countries, such as the United States, Canada, Australia and European countries, voted on the same day, February 1, 2026, to elect the Sikyong of the Central Tibetan Administration and the members of the 18th Tibetan Parliament-in-exile.

Mundgod — His Holiness the Dalai Lama attended a Long Life Prayer offered to him by Gaden Monastery and the Mundgod Tibetan Community at the Gaden Lachi Monastery in Mundgod, Karnataka, India on January 21, 2026. London — UK-based Tibet organisations condemned the UK Government’s decision to approve the construction of a vast new Chinese embassy at Royal Mint Court in London on Jauary 20, 2025, describing it as a reckless act that endangers national security, legitimises repression, and abandons activists living in the UK.

Dharamshala — In the 2026 Sikyong elections, five candidates ran for office, including current Sikyong Penpa Tsering, Kelsang Dorjee Aukatsang, Tsering Phuntsok, Tashi Topgyal, and Gyalthang Ngawang Gaden. TPI will provide brief biographies, manifestos and the reasons why all candidates are running in the 2026 general elections. However, the Central Election Commission revoked the voting rights and candidacy for Sikyong to Tashi Topgyal, for violations of the regulations stipulated in the Charter of Tibetans-in-Exile and the Commission’s electoral rules and regulations.
