Dharamshala — Central Tibetan Administration commemorates the 66th Anniversary of Tibetan National Uprising Day in Dharamshala on March 10, 2025. Kashag said, 'This day marks the darkest and most critical period in the history of Tibet. As we commemorate the Tibetan National Uprising Day, we honour our brave martyrs, and express solidarity with our brothers and sisters inside Tibet who continue to languish under the oppressive Chinese government.'

Dharamshala — Tibetan Women's Association celebrated the International Women’s Day in Dharamshala and they said, "Tibetan women in Tibet face various obstacles and struggles, stemming from the oppressive policies and practices of the Chinese government. These women are often marginalized and discriminated against in social, economic, and political spheres due to their ethnicity and gender."

Dharamshala — His Holiness the Dalai Lama arrived at his residence in Dharamshala Today from New Delhi after staying at Tashi Lhunpo Monastery and Gyudmed Tantric University, South India for one and half months. Tibetan monks from three monasteries offered him prayers for long life and His Holiness gave teachings and empowerment to the monks, nuns and lay people there.

Hunsur — Monks from Tashi Lhunpo Monastery and Gyudmed Tantric University, offered long-life prayers to His Holiness the Dalai Lama, in Karnataka, India. His Holiness said, "Having found this precious human life, we have to make it meaningful. To do so, we require the complete teaching of the Buddha and to be able to engage in the Three Trainings—ethics, concentration and wisdom."

Dharamshala — Tibetans in Dharamshala commemorated the 112th anniversary of Tibetan Independence Day on Thursday. They declared: “We reject the use of the term ‘Xizang’ instead of Tibet in all international discourse. This is part of China's large Sinicization campaign, which aims to distort Tibet's historical and political reality. “Xizang” is not the legitimate name for Tibet; Tibet must be recognised by its legitimate name. 

Dharamshala — Former Minister Gyalo Thondup, the main figure of Sino-Tibetan dialogue and the second eldest brother of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, passed away on February 8, 2025 at the age of 97. Tibetans in Tibet and in exile expressed their deep grief over the passing away of Gyalo Thondup and organised prayers for him.
