Shewatsel, Leh, Ladakh — His Holiness the Dalai Lama said, "When we look at the world today, there is a tendency to resort to the use of force. We need to take more care to work to create a world free of violence. We have to work for peace. If each of us works to cultivate peace and non-violence wherever we are, there is some hope that we can achieve peace in the world. I feel that if we can do this, we’ll not only attain peace of mind in ourselves but we will create a positive atmosphere in the world around us."

New Delhi — When Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi landed in New Delhi on Monday, Tibetan activists from the Tibetan Youth Congress immediately staged a strong protest against Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi's visit to India and called on China to end the cultural genocide in Tibet and cease interfering in the reincarnation of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama of Tibet.

New Delhi — Tibetan activists from Students for a Free Tibet- India protested against Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi's visit to India and strongly condemned the Chinese government's recent claim to exercise authority over the future reincarnation of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama. SFT activists also urged India to seek a permanent solution to the Indo-Tibetan border issue and address the root cause of the conflict-China's occupation of Tibet. 

Leh, Ladakh, India — His Holiness the Dalai Lama gave a teaching on "The Eight Verses on Training the Mind and the Four Mindfulnesses" to approximately 50,000 people in Leh, Ladakh, on Saturday. His Holiness said, "Wherever I go in the Himalayan Region I find people to be faithful and devout—dedicated to spiritual practice. Although Tibetans have faced great difficulties and Chinese restrictions have become ever tighter, the peoples of the Himalayan Region have been our friends."

Zanskar — His Holiness the Dalai Lama visited Zanskar on Monday and addressed the assembly and said, "The Chinese Communists have taken away not only our political rights; they have also sought control of our spiritual traditions. When I was in Beijing in 1954 Mao mentioned to me that religion is poison. I believe he was sincere according to his own way of thinking, although I said nothing in return, but in my own mind I realized he was hostile to the Dharma."

Dharamshala — Students of the late Tulku Tenzin Delek Rinpoche, leaders of Tibetan NGOs and other Tibetans commemorated the 10th anniversary of the death of Tulku Tenzin Delek Rinpoche, who sacrificed his life to protect Tibetan religion, culture, language and environment.
