Dharamshala: The speaker for the Tibetan Parliament in Exile gave a speech on 10 December, to commemorate the 23rd anniversary of the conferment of the Nobel Peace Prize on His Holiness the Dalai Lama, and to honor International Human Rights day.

Dharamshala: - Political leader of the Central Tibetan Administration, Dr. Lobsang Sangay, gave a speech on December 10 to commemorate both the 23rd Anniversary of the awarding of the Nobel Peace Prize to His Holiness the Dalai Lama, and the 64th Anniversary of International Human Rights Day.

Taipei: Tibetans and Taiwanese supporters rallied in the pouring rain Saturday night to remember the 94 Tibetans who have self-immolated since 2009 in calls for freedom and human rights, as 10 Tibetans and supporters began a 49-hour hunger strike in Liberty Square in Taiwanese capital, Taipei.

Dharamshala: In response to the increasing number of self-immolations that have occurred in and outside of Tibet, top U.S. Government officials have issued a statement calling on Chinese authorities to conduct direct, unconditional dialogue with the Dalai Lama or his representatives. 

Dharamshala: On March 10 2012, Dr. Lobsang Sangay, political leader of the Central Tibetan Administration(CTA), called upon world leaders and citizens to make 2012 the Tibet Lobby Year. His call has been met with sucess as Tibet resolutions have been passed in the EU, France, Italy, and the US, along with statements of support from nations such as Australia, Brazil, Canada, Germany, India, Japan, and South Africa.

Dharamshala: - The spiritual leader of Tibet, His Holiness the Dalai Lama has urged Tibetans who have recently arrived in India to study Buddhist philosophy, rather than simply familiarizing themselves with prayer.
