Dharamshala: The Canadian government has expressed concern over the wave of tragic self-immolations in Tibet and urged the Chinese government resume dialogue with the Tibetan leadership to find a mutually-agreeable solution to the issue of Tibet.

Dharamshala: Mr. Leonidas Donskis, MEP from Lithuania, called on the European Union to appoint a Special EU Representative on Tibet to reassert its strategy to support human rights and democracy. He made this appeal during the EU annual report on human rights and democracy in the world.

Dharamshala: The US State Department Under Secretary, Maria Otero, gave a statement that was read aloud for International Human Rights Day on December 10. In her remarks, Otero emphasized areas in which the EU and the United States are working together to promote and strengthen human rights around the world, specifically in Tibet.

Berne: – Switzerland lawmakers have expressed concern over human rights violations in Tibet and said they will raise Tibet issues in the parliament to pressure the Swiss government to take-up the issue of Tibet within bilateral encounters with China.

Dharamshala: - On December 10th, International Human Rights Day, members of TYC were received by members of the Canadian Parliament and Ministry of Foreign Affairs who stressed their continued support for the Tibetan cause and discussed ways to continuing supporting the work of TYC.

Dharamshala: December 10, International Human Rights Day, celebrated the 64th Anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR). Across the globe this occasion brought together Tibetans and Tibet supporters to raise awareness and demand action from world leaders in response to the human rights abuses occurring in Tibet under Chinese rule.
