Dharamshala — Central Tibetan Administration (CTA) strongly calls on the government of the People's Republic of China to end its assimilation policies in Tibetan areas through colonial boarding schools. Recently, the Chinese government forcibly ordered more than 1,700 young monks from Kirti monastery and two monasteries in Dzoge county - all three monasteries are located in Ngaba in the traditional province of Amdo - to leave monastic life and enrol in Chinese government-run colonial boarding schools in Sichuan province.

Dharamshala — Chinese traffickers continue to abduct children, not only in China but also in Tibet, they are now going into Tibetan areas and starting to abduct Tibetan children. One source said that more than 30 Tibetan children have been abducted and once they have been stolen, it is very difficult to get them back; very recently, around seven-year-old Tibetan girl was abducted in Zamthang county, in Tibet.

Dharamshala — Tibetan rights activist Tsering Kyi has once again been detained by the Chinese authorities for protecting the rights of Tibetan monks, when they were banned from pilgrimage to Shigatse, in Tibet. She asked the authorities why Chinese people can travel anywhere but Tibetans cannot travel in their own land.

Dharamshala — Chinese government intensified its systematic policy of eliminating the root of Tibetan identity – the Tibetan language – by implementing a series of measures that have had a significant impact on the linguistic and cultural heritage of the region. These measures include sending Tibetan children to Chinese colonial boarding schools, shutting down Tibetan schools, and arresting Tibetan writers, intellectuals, and teachers.

Dharamshala — Chinese government has forcibly shut down the most popular school for Tibetan students, the Gangjong Sherig Norbu School, where Tibetan students from three regions of Tibet come to study and where the graduates are well-trained students who do excellent work in Tibetan societies. The teachers and students cried so hard that they could not control their sadness at the closure of their beloved school after 30 years.

Dharamshala — Tibetans in Tibet celebrated the 89th birthday of His Holiness the Dalai Lama in secret and in a less obvious way. Although the Chinese authorities tried to ban the celebration of His Holiness' birthday in Tibet, Tibetans took courage to show their unshakeable faith and love for their spiritual leader. One Tibetan neitzen wrote: "I cried many times when I heard your voice", and another wrote: "I wish you a long life from afar".

Dharamshala — The Chinese government has imposed a hardline policy on the Tibetan language for the past six decades, with the aim of eliminating Tibetan identity. The Chinese government, as well as Chinese companies like ByteDance, restricts the use of the Tibetan language, whenever they go live, Tibetans have to speak in Chinese, otherwise the Douying authorities will stop the Tibetan livestream, and many Tibetans expressed anger and helplessness at the ban on speaking Tibetan in Douying.
