Bylakuppe: - The 13th Annual Conference of 15 Tibetan co-operatives graced by Prof Samdhong Rinpoche, the former Kalon Tripa of Tibet on Tuesady, August 20, at Lugsam Co-operative’s community hall in Bylakuppe, South India.

Dharamsala Aug 20 – The largest Tibetan NGO in exile, Tibetan Youth Congress (TYC) has initiated a request asking the Nepal Government to release the body of Karma Nyidhon Gyatso, a Tibetan monk. Gyatso, self immolated on August 5, 2013 in Boudha Kathmandu.

Dharamshala: - Tibetan community in exile on August 15 celebrated the 67th Independence Day of India with various programmes. The Indian national flag was hoisted in front of Kashag House during a function organised by the Central Tibetan Administration in Dharamshala and a number of special events were held by Tibetans in exile to mark the occasion.

Dharamshala: - A newly-built residential quarter for the staff members of Tibet Corps was inaugurated by Dr. Lobsang Sangay, Sikyong or democratically elected political leader of the Central Tibetan Administration (CTA) based in Dharamsala, India.

Dharamshala: - Dr Lobsang Sangay, the elected political leader of Tibet once again reiterated his administration's firm commitment to pursue a meaningful dialogue with the Chinese government to seek genuine autonomy for Tibet.
