Dharamshala — The Hindu, a 131-year-old national newspaper, has come under heavy criticism after publishing a "fake News" story titled 'Is Trump preparing to change the script on Tibet?', that falsely claiming the U.S. President-elect had declined the Dalai Lama's request for a meeting in the future.

Both Gaya —The spiritual leader of Tibet, His Holiness Dalai Lama reminded his devotees that Lord Buddha said consumption of even a drop of alcohol is a sin and how Mahatma Gandhi also tried to bring in prohibition.

Dharamshala —  Texas Senator Ted Cruz along with the Texan Governor, Greg Abbott, met with the Taiwanese president, Tsai Ing-wen, while she was passing through the state on her way to diplomatic engagements in Central America on Monday, January 9th, much to the chagrin of the Chinese.

Bodh Gaya — During the preliminary days of the Kalachakra Initiation, His Holiness the Dalai Lama participated in an interfaith prayer for world peace, joined by representatives of major world religious traditions in Bodh Gaya. 

Dharamshala — The Central Tibetan Administration strongly condemns the barring of thousands of Tibetan pilgrims from taking part in the the 13-day Kalachakra teachings now taking place in Bodh Gaya, one of the four holiest places for the Buddhists around the world.

Bodhgaya, Bihar, India — "It's important to implement the Dharma in practice," the spiritual leader of Tibet, His Holiness the Dalai Lama advised his followers, adding: "Now we need to be 21st century Buddhists and find out what it's really about."
