I cried many times when I heard your voice: Tibetans inside Tibet to His Holiness

Dharamshala — Tibetans in Tibet celebrated the 89th birthday of His Holiness the Dalai Lama in secret and in a less obvious way. Although the Chinese authorities tried to ban the celebration of His Holiness' birthday in Tibet, Tibetans took courage to show their unshakeable faith and love for their spiritual leader. One Tibetan neitzen wrote: "I cried many times when I heard your voice", and another wrote: "I wish you a long life from afar".

The 89th birthday of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama is being celebrated by Tibetans, supporters of Tibet and followers of His Holiness all over the world, including the USA, Canada, Brazil, Switzerland, Germany, the UK, France, Japan, Taiwan, Mongolia, Australia, New Zealand, India and Tibet. It is very difficult for Tibetans inside Tibet to celebrate His Holiness the Dalai Lama's birthday because the Chinese government has banned the celebration. The Chinese authorities will arrest, torture and imprison Tibetans if they find out that Tibetans are celebrating His Holiness the Dalai Lama's birthday, but Tibetans took courage to show their unwavering faith and love for their spiritual leader and celebrated His Holiness' birthday in a secret and less obvious way on July 6, 2024.

One Tibetan neitzen in Tibet wrote social media account, "The sun (His Holiness the Dalai Lama) in my heart, in the long years of your voice, often in my ears: your figure, often in front of my eyes: your teachings, resident in my heart."

A Tibetan Neitzen wrote July 6, 2024, "I pray to the precious lama (His Holiness the Dalai Lama), I call you with sorrow, my dear Dharma Lord. You are the only hope for me. Bless the mind without distinction."

Another Tibetan wrote on his social media account, "The great master (His Holiness the Dalai Lama) said that we would meet in the near future and go on a pilgrimage to the Potala Palace together."

Tibetan neitzens wrote on the 89th birthday of His Holinesss the Dalai Lama, July 6, 2024, "I wish you a long life from afar," "When I hear (your) voice, I can't control my tears," "I cried many times when I heard Your voice," "I have many things to say to You."

Another Tibetan student wrote on July 6, 2024, "Let us study our language well, and one day when Father (His Holiness) returns, let him read it." His Holiness the Dalai Lama said: "The best gift I could receive from you all is the warm-heartedness in every individual present here. When faced with challenge and anger please be reminded of my message." Tibetans inside Tibet have received this message and put it into action. They are also reminding each other on the occasion of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama's birthday. Tibetan neitzen wrote on July 6, 2024, "Today is a special day, so don't ignore the enemy of hatred and be patient. Try not to eat the flesh and blood of others. It is important to meditate on compassion for happiness and suffering."

Another neitzen wrote July 6, 2024, "The best way to celebrate this auspicious day and the best gift is to have a good heart."

A Tibetan wrote on his social media, July 6, 2024, "Happy Birthday to His Holiness the Dalai Lama, Long live the Master, may he return to homeland soon, may his wishes for world peace be fulfilled. I pray and wish you on the special occasion."
