Dharamshala — UN human rights bodies have expressed serious concerns regarding the “Law on Promoting Ethnic Unity and Progress" of PRC. They said, “we observe that the newly adopted Law risks restricting the freedom of expression, the right to take part in cultural life, freedom of religion and belief, the rights of persons belonging to various communities, particularly children, to use their own language and conduct their own cultural practices, the right of all persons to quality education and training that fully respect their cultural identity, academic and artistic freedoms, and the right to freedom of assembly and association, as protected under international human rights treaties.”

Prague — The Czech Senate passed a resolution concerning Tibet with an overwhelming 40 votes in favour and none against. The resolution defends the religious freedom of the Tibetan people and their exclusive right to determine their future spiritual leader, His Holiness the Dalai Lama and it states," China (PRC) has “no legitimate authority” to select the successor to the 14th Dalai Lama and it asserts that the selection of the 15th Dalai Lama is the “exclusive matter of the Tibetan people”.

Washington, D.C. – Freedom House released its "Freedom in the World 2026" report on Thursday and ranked Tibet among the world's least free countries with zero (0) in political and civil liberties. The report said that "CCP authorities control news media in Tibet even more strictly than in other areas of the country. Tibetans are unable to establish and operate nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) without facing punishment by the Chinese authorities. Private and monastery schools have been shut down in recent years in an effort to force students into government-run schools."

Dharamshala — All India Tibet support groups held their 8th conference in Dharamsala and adopted a declaration on the final day. This declaration condemns human rights violations committed by the Chinese government in Tibet, calls on the Indian government to support the Tibetan cause, and rejects China's claims regarding the reincarnation of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama.

Dharamshala — More than 20 India Tibet support groups in India offered long life prayers for His Holiness the Dalai Lama, the spiritual leader of Tibet, in Dharamshala on Wednesday. More than 500 Indians from different religious and cultural backgrounds participated in the ceremony to pray for the long life of His Holiness the Dalai Lama.

Dharamshala — "China's Colonial Game in Tibet" was launched in Dharamsala on March 6, 2026, a few days before Tibetan Uprising Day on March 10, 2026. This book talks about the independent status of Tibet, His Holiness the Dalai Lama, the reincarnation of the Dalai Lama, the Tibetan cultural genocide, the destruction of the environment, education as a colonial tool under the Chinese Communist government, the Tibetan freedom movement, and Tibetan self-immolations.
