Dharamshala: The recent self-immolation of the young Tibetan monk Phuntsok and Tibetan spiritual leader His Holiness the Dalai Lama's retirement announcement will probably lead to increased tension in Tibet, if the predictions of Robert Barnett, director of Modern Tibetan Studies at New York's Colombia University, prove correct.

London: - While countries such as Libya and Egypt fight to overthrow their leaders, Tibet are insisting theirs stays in power. The Dalai Lama has ruled longer than Colonel Gaddafi and Hosni Mubarak combined, yet His Holiness's dedication and compassion has left women crying in the streets and politicians pleading in parliament in the wake of his announcement of retirement.

Indiana, US: - The death of Tibet freedom fighter Jigme Norbu once more raises the question "Independence or Autonomy?" Jigme Norbu aspired and fought for independence, as did his honorable father, Taktser Rinpoche, the older brother of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama.

Dharamshala: China's forceful occupation and annexation of Tibet is a major crime against humanity yet it has faced neither global nor international challenge. I believe the issue must be brought before an international tribunal for crimes against humanity; for the ethnic cleansing committed by the communist thugs in China and the fact that no one on the United Nations Security council has come forth in support of this mission. The need to prosecute communist officials in China for crimes against humanity must now be brought to full international public attention.

Wyoming, USA: On the 6th of January 2011 I went to the Yak restaurant in New York City for a night out with my two friends. I joined them at the table, two hours late. The table was laid with menus, beer, water, long island iced tea, chicken, lollipops, plates, forks, and napkins; and on its three sides, my two friends and I were discussing everything Tibet, Tibetan, and political.
