Dharamshala — Sikyong Penpa Tsering, on behalf of the Central Tibetan Administration and the Tibetan people, has written letters to Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang and Chief Minister Shri Pema Khandu congratulating them on their decisive victory in the recent State Assembly elections.
Sikyong (President) Penpa Tsering of the Central Tibetan Administration has written a letter to Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Shri Pema Khandu congratulating him on his victory in the recent State Assembly elections on June 4, 2024.
In the congratulatory letter to Chief Minister Shri Pema Khandu Sikyong wrote, “The overwhelming mandate you’ve secured reflects the unwavering trust and confidence the people of Arunachal Pradesh have in your leadership. I am confident that under your leadership, Arunachal Pradesh will continue to prosper and flourish.”
“Your steadfast friendship with the Tibetan people and unwavering devotion to His Holiness the Dalai Lama is a constant source of great encouragement for us. Your leadership, in particular, has been instrumental in advancing the welfare and prosperity of the Tibetan community in the state, for which we remain deeply grateful,” said Sikyong.
Sikyong further offered his prayers in the letter to CM Pema Khandu for a successful tenure.
In the congratulatory letter to Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang, Sikyong wrote, “The resounding mandate you’ve received reflects the unwavering trust and confidence the people of Sikkim have in your leadership. I am confident that Sikkim will continue to prosper under your capable leadership.”
Sikyong also recalled His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s gracious visit to Sikkim last December, an occasion made possible through the kind invitation of Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang, in the letter and for that, Sikyong expressed, “We remain deeply grateful.”
