Dharamshala — “The Chinese occupation of Tibet is the root cause of the climate or environmental mismanagement in Tibet. We have witnessed many environmental disasters and problems in Tibet, such as the melting of glaciers. Tibet is warming up two to three times faster than the rest of the world, which will have an impact on water, 1.4 billion people in Asia depend on water flowing from Tibet,” said Dr Lobsang Yangtso, on Earth day.

Tibetan youth activists held a peaceful protest against Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi's state visit to India, on Friday, March 25, 2022 and have strongly urged the leadership of India to hold the Chinese communist authoritarian leaders accountable for their inhumane acts against the people of Tibet, including human rights violations and arbitrary arrests of innocent people, including prominent intellectuals and religious figures.

Dharamshala — The Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile (TPiE) commences its third session and highlights the critical environmental situations in Tibet, by presenting a five-point official motion on the critical environmental situation inside Tibet and calling on the Chinese government to check on mass mining operations and deforestation happening in Tibet.
