Dharamshala — The Central and Regional Tibetan Women's Association in Dharamshala held a one-day hunger strike to commemorate the 27-year disappearance of the 11th Panchen Lama and called on the Chinese government to immediately release Gendun Choekyi Nyima, the 11th Panchen Lama, his family, and his teacher.

Mundgod — Regional Tibetan Youth Congress, and Regional Tibetan Women’s Association, Mundgod organised 'Bike Rally for Panchen Lama' to raise awareness about his situation, the condition of Tibetans living under the hard-line policies of the Chinese government and to show our solidarity to our brothers and sisters inside Tibet.

Dharamshala — “The so-called bilingual education policy, ostensibly promoted to unite non-Chinese nationalities throughout the PRC, drastically limits the use of Tibetan language in the education system, both secular and monastic, and directly impacts the survival of Tibetan linguistic and cultural identity,” says a report titled, “Sucked Our Marrow: Tibetan Language and Education Rights under Xi Jinping”.

Dharamshala — “In 2021, the government of the People's Republic of China (PRC) continued to perpetrate gross human rights violations involving arbitrary detention and torture, religious repression, and a widespread crackdown on the right to freedom of expression and information. In particular, the Chinese party-state made no pretence that forced cultural assimilation has now become an entrenched part of Chinese policy in Tibet,” said TCHRD’s annual human rights report.
