 Dharamsala, India — President of the Central Tibetan Administration, Dr Lobsang Sangay Thursday has greeted people of Tibet on the occasion of Tibetan New Year (Losar 2145 – Year of the Earth Dog).

Celebrations in Dharamsala and around the world evoke a time when Tibet was independent. Tibetans and supporters turned out around the world today for their independence day.

Dharamshala — Tibetan spiritual leader His Holiness the Dalai Lama has cancelled his trip to Sikkim, Northeast India, after apparently receiving doctor's advice to rest and not engage in travel. His Holiness was supposed to visit the northeastern state from March 20 to March 29.
