Dharamshala, India – Dr Lobsang Sangay, president of Central Tibetan Administration (CTA) unveiled the second publication of a textbook composed by Kasur Kirti Rinpoche, named The Necklace for Intelligent Students, on January 29, 2021. It was launched by the Department of Religion and Culture, CTA in observance of the Year of Gratitude to His Holiness the Dalai Lama.

Dharamshala, India — “Tashi Wangchuk is released, yet he is not free as his actions will be surveilled and rights will be repressed,” said Rinzin Choedon, Tibetan Activist and National Director at Students for Free Tibet (SFT)-India. The Tibetan language rights activist was released on January 28, 2021 after serving a five-year term in prison for standing up against the ‘repression’ of the Tibetan language education in occupied Tibet.

We express our heartfelt gratitude to the people and government of India", said Ven Karma Gelek Yuthok, Minister for the Department of Religion and Culture at the ceremony.

Dharamshala, India – The Indo-Tibetan Friendship Association (ITFA) of Dharamshala organised a felicitation ceremony in recognition of the Tibetan Policy and Support Act 2020 (TPSA). “I appeal to Indian government to throw some light on Tibet Act, following the steps of the US” said Shri Ajit Nehria, president of Indo-Tibetan Friendship Association (ITFA) at the felicitation ceremony.
