indian solo protestDharamshala — "The recent self immolation at Sarnath, Varanasi by this young boy just shook me from deep within. I feel like its my responsibility to do something for Tibet's freedom struggle despite just sitting at home and do nothing."

Nityam Singharoy, a famous 38 years old visual artist took off on his blue Royal Enfield bike from the Main Temple in Dharamsala heading to Delhi as a silent protest to the Chinese government today at 12:40 pm. He said he will take around 2 days to reach Delhi, as he will be stopping by on the way to educate people about Tibet's freedom struggle and the self immolation. Upon reaching Delhi, he will take a round of Rashtrapati Bhawan (Indian parliament) located near India Gate and then will go on to the Chinese Embassy which would be his last stop.

Nityam said " I would like to urge the Chinese government to make peace with Tibet and with everyone. Give Tibet its independence. We just get this one life and we cannot waste it on unnecessary disputes and harming one another."
