There is growing interest in our knowledge and traditions among Buddhists in China as well as scholars and scientists in other parts of the world. Scientists in particular are interested in what we have to say about the workings of the mind and emotions and the nature of reality."

Dharamshala, India — The 17th Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile convened its 6th session on September 19, 2023, with a bill on official solidarity on urgent situation inside Tibet. The Speaker of Parliament urged everyone to raise the issue of Tibet on the international stage, as Tibetans inside Tibet are living in almost hellish conditions.

New Delhi — Tibetan activists from the Tibetan Youth Congress in Delhi protested against the Chinese government for human rights violations in Tibet and also urged the Prime Minister of India and the world leaders of the G20 to address the Sino-Tibetan issue at the 18th G20 summit to be held in New Delhi on September 9 and 10, 2023.

Dharamshala — On the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the International Day of the Victims of Enforced Disappearances, the Department of Information and International Relations of the Central Tibetan Administration remembers all the Tibetans who were forced to disappear in Tibet and urges the People's Republic of China (PRC) to release all Tibetan political prisoners immediately.

Dharamshala — Former Tibetan political prisoners shared their experiences of torture, injustice and enforced disappearance in Chinese prisons, during the commemoration of the International Day of the Victims of Enforced Disappearances in Dharamshala. One of them recounted the torture he suffered in prison: "I could not tolerate the torture inflicted by the Chinese authorities, and if I had the chance, I would commit suicide."

Dharamshala — His Holiness the Dalai Lama, the spiritual leader of Tibet arrived safely at his residence in Dharamshala on August 28, 2023, after spending 45 days in Leh, Ladakh, UT, India and where he gave teachings to thousands of Buddhists and people around the world about inner peace and compassion, religious harmony and world peace.
