Thousands Tibetans staged protest against Xi's human rights violations in Tibet

Paris — More than four thousand Tibetans from ten European countries protested against the Chinese government's serious violations of freedom of expression, freedom of religion, freedom of education and freedom of movement of Tibetans inside Tibet, during Chinese President Xi Jinping's visit to France on May 5, 2024.

Tibetan activists protest against Xi's visit to Europe over human rights abuses in Tibet

Paris – Tibetan activists from Students for a Free Tibet protested against Chinese President Xi Jinping's visit to Europe. They call on President Macron and all European leaders to take a firm stand against China's human rights violations, genocidal policies and illegal occupation of Tibet by China, and put pressure on Xi to resume dialogue between Tibet and China.

Paris — Reporters Without Borders (RSF) has published the 2024 World Press Freedom Index on the occasion of World Press Freedom Day and it states, "The People’s Republic of China (PRC) is the world's largest prison for journalists, and its regime conducts a campaign of repression against journalism and the right to information worldwide."

China intensified its suppression and sinicization of Tibetan Buddhism: USCIRF

Washington, D.C. – The United States Commission on International Religious Freedom (USCIRF) published its annual report on religious freedom around the world and it states," The (Chinese) government intensified its suppression and sinicization of Tibetan Buddhism. Authorities increased surveillance and security measures on Tibetan Buddhists, restricting their peaceful religious activities, arresting and imprisoning them for engaging in such activities."
