Washington DC — Members of the US House Foreign Relations Committee's Subcommittee on Asia and the Pacific met Wednesday, December 6, to discuss U.S. policy toward Tibet.; more specifically, the urgent situation prevailing inside Tibet under China and working toward greater access, religious freedom and basic human rights for the people of Tibet.
Dharamshala — His Holiness the Dalai Lama was awarded the 10th KISS Humanitarian Award by the Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) University on November 21, in front of an audience of more than 25,000 students.
Ladakh — Tibetan spiritual leader His Holiness the Dalai Lama attended a seminar on communal harmony and world peace today, July 28th, at the Central Institute of Buddhist Studies in Ladakh, an event in accordance with the centenary of the birth of the great 20th century leader of Ladakh, Bakula Rinpoche.
Dharamshala — “Especially in this time of human crisis, the media channels have real responsibility to promote human values and religious harmony. In a democratic society people have the right to know the truth and journalists should inform the public of the reality. However, you must report truthfully, objectively and in an unbiased manner,” His Holiness said in a meeting with Indian media on Wednesday, March 29th.
