Dharamshala — Dhondup Wangchen was one of three to testify before the United States Congress on February 14, in a hearing titled, Tibet 'From All Angles': Protecting Human Rights, Defending Strategic Access, and Challenging China’s Export of Censorship Globally.
Dharamshala — International human rights watchdog, Amnesty International, released their annual report for 2017-18 on February 22, claiming that Chinese enactment of extended laws under the guise of 'national security' continued to present an acute threat to human rights inside Tibet.

Strasbourg, France — The European Parliament Thursday called on China to respect provisions in its own constitution guaranteeing the rights of Tibetans and other Chinese citizens to freedom of speech, religious belief, and assembly, including the right to criticize or protest against state policy.
Dharamshala — On December 10, 2017, around two thousand people gathered at the temple of His Holiness the Great 14th Dalai Lama of Tibet. The celebration included Tibetan cultural dances and statements both by the Tibetan Parliament in exile and a member of the Indian Parliament. Performers, both young and old, came to the main Tibetan temple in Mcleod Ganj, Himachal Pradesh to participate in the occasion.
