Dharamshala: In 2011, the spiritual leader of Tibet, His Holiness the Dalai Lama reiterated his belief that China is committing a form of 'cultural genocide'* in Tibet: consciously, deliberately and with intent. However, totaliatarian states, or even democratic ones for that matter, rarely signal their intent to commit genocide-cultural, economic or otherwise in actual overt policies.

Wyoming, US: - Prior to the Kalon Tripa's January 26, 2012 statement requesting Tibetans not to celebrate Losar (Tibetan New Year) which falls on February 22 this year, there were some debates on how, what, and why of Losar celebration. The request to not celebrate Losar first came from the Tibetan Youth Congress, Dharamsala, India on November 14, 2011.

Dharamshala, India: - Student Viki Rey Eagle volunteered at the Tibet Post International for a fortnight in December 2012, as part of the University of Denver's Project Dharamshala programme. Here she reflects on her time at the newspaper and her perceptions of the Tibetan community in exile.

Wyoming, US: - "I have no interest in history because it is a story about dead people" - A junior high Tibetan student. Though I heard the above story several years ago, my memory of it is still vivid and fresh. I don't know the specific reason for its storage in my long-term memory.

Dharamshala: - Expressing her support and solidarity with the people of Tibet, a prominent Chinese research scholar living in Sydney has strongly criticised the Chinese government's repressive policies on Tibet for the last six decades.
