Dharamshala — Chinese authorities jailed the young Tibetan man for 16 months for openly criticising the Chinese government's failure to take action, against the Chinese company that was illegally extracting sand and destroying vast areas of riverbank, during the construction of a road on the banks of a river in Gakog County, Ngawa, Tibet.

Dharamshala — Tibetans inside Tibet and in Exile mourned the demise of the well-known singer Lobsang and expressed their gratitude for his songs. He sang songs about His Holiness the Dalai Lama, world peace, the fate of Tibet, unity among Tibetans and the importance of Tibetan language and culture. He was detained by China several times for his songs.

Dharamshala — The Chinese government deployed a large number of soldiers at Kumbum monastery and restricted thousands of Tibetan Buddhists from freely attending the Butter Flower Festival (religious festival) on February 12, 2024. China is once again violating the fundamental freedom and in particular the religious freedom of Tibetans in Tibet.

Dharamshala – The Chinese authorities recently released Tibetan monk and writer Tenzin Chenrab from his Chinese prison. He had been arrested in September 2023 for keeping photo and several electronic books of Tibet's spiritual leader, His Holiness the Dalai Lama. His mother, aged 53, died after her son's arrest.

Dharamshala — A devastating 7.1-magnitude earthquake struck Dingri and neighboring Shigatse counties in Tibet on Tuesday morning, killing 126 Tibetans, and injuring 188 and destroying 3609 homes. His Holiness the Dalai Lama, the leaders of the CTA, Tibetans inside the Tibet and in exile, the French President and the Taiwanese President express their solidarity and extend their prayers to the victims of the disaster.
