Dharamshala — The Library of Tibetan Works and Achives commemorated its 55th anniversary in Dharamshala on Wednesday. His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama founded the Library of Tibetan Works and Archives to restore, protect, preserve Tibetan manuscripts, books, artifacts and promote the culture and Buddhism of Tibet.

Dharamshala — Three Tibetan Groups from USA and India offered a long life prayer to His Holiness the Dalai Lama on Wenesday. His Holiness said," Every morning, I wake, I generate bodhichitta and the view of emptiness and I pray that I may be of service to others. Since we may say you are my students, I explain how I practise to you, how I meditate on bodhichitta and emptiness. This is what you should try to cultivate too."

Dharamshala — A new report documents the serious impact of Chinese boarding schools on Tibetan children, where they are denied the right to learn the Tibetan language, meet their parents, and where they are beaten and abused both physically and mentally. "The Chinese government uses Tibetan children as a means of forced assimilation of the Tibetan people," the report stated.

Dharamshala — More than 145 Tibet-related organisations worldwide call on the Kathmandu International Mountain Film Festival (KIMFF) to immediately cancel the Chinese propaganda program on Tibet:“Xizang Panorama”. They said that “Xizang Panorama” does not simply feature films about Tibet; it is rather a showcase of weaponised storytelling by China to further oppress Tibetans and erase their history.

Frankfurt — Tibetan and Hong Kong activists, their supporters protested against the Chinese government at the Dragon Boat Festival in Frankfurt, Germany, to condemn human rights abuses in Tibet. However, their peaceful protest was met with torn banners, Tibetan and Hong Kong flags were forcefully removed, and the activists were physically harassed by people backed by the Chinese government. "Our voices have not been silenced," say the activists.
