Dharamsala: Yesterday the 7.1 magnitude earthquake struck Kyegundo in the Kham province of Tibet (Yushu: Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Qinghai Province), killing hundreds and injuring thousands. According to recent reports 15,000 residential buildings have been destroyed and residents have been forced to relocate.

Dharamshala: Tibetans gathered at the main Buddhist Temple here in Dharamshala to pray and show solidarity to the victims of the earthquake that hit Kyegudo (Chin: Yushu) in Tibet's Kham Province.

Dharamshala: A press conference was held today by Tibetan Women's Association (TWA) to present its central and regional chapters' strategic action plans for the 2011 Prime Ministerial Election in Dharamshala. A question and answer session was conducted between executives of TWA and Tibetan media.

Dharamshala: Noted Tibetan resistance fighter and long-serving member of the Central Tibetan Administration Bhusang La passed away at 80 in Dharamsala on March 25th. Born in Nyemo Disctrict in Tibet's central province of U-Tsang, Bhusang studied Tibetan medicine at the Men-Tsee Khang and in 1949 became a physician for the police department.
