Dharamshala — The final match of the 30th Gyalum Chenmo Memorial Gold Cup (GCMGC) football tournament was played between the DYSA Mundgod team and TDL Bylakuppe at the TCV ground in Dharamshala on June 11, 2025. DYSA Mundgod scored 3 goals, and TDL Bylakuppe scored 1. The DYSA Mundgod team won the 30th Gyalum Chenmo Memorial Gold-Cup, making this their sixth victory.

The final match of the 30th Gyalum Chenmo Memorial Gold Cup (GCMGC) football tournament played between the Doeguling Youth Sport Association (DYSA) Mundgod team and Tibetan Dickyi Larsoe (TDL) Bylakuppe at the TCV ground in Dharamshala on June 11, 2025. A notable gathering of Tibetans and supporters convened at the TCV ground to offer encouragement and support to the teams.

Hemraj Bairwa, the Deputy Commissioner of Kangra district and the chief guest, kicked off the final match. Deputy Commissioner Hemraj Bairwa and Tsering Angmo, the General Secretary of the Ladakh Football Association as special guest, presented Khatas to the players of both teams and wished them good luck.

The 30th Gyalyum Chenmo Memorial Gold Cup kicked off on June 1, 2025 at the TCV ground in Dharamshala, with the participation of 16 Tibetan teams from Nepal and India and it concluded on June 11, 2025 with Doeguling Youth Sport Association (DYSA) Mundgod team won the 30th Gyalum Chenmo Memorial Gold-Cup.

Karma Sherab, a member of the DYSA Mundgod team and the tournament's top scorer and best player, expressed his sentiments to TPI, stating, "I have been honored with the titles of both 'best player' and 'best scorer' at the 30th Gyalyum Chenmo Memorial Gold Cup. This triumph stands as a testament to the unwavering support of my team, and I would like to express my profound gratitude to all my teammates for their instrumental role in this achievement."

The 30th Gyalyum Chenmo Memorial (GCM) Gold Cup is organised by the Tibetan National Sports Association (TNSA). 16 Tibetan teams from Nepal and India took part in the GCM tournament, including DYSA Mungod, Paonta Cholsum FC, Hunsur Rabgyaling, Dhondupling FC, Dhasa United FC, Tashiling Potala, T.C.B united, Samyeling FC, GYA,Gulladhala FC, TDL Sport Club, Tezu Dhargyaling, Choepheling FC, Kollegal FC, Kathmandu Kings, TCV United and Shimla United.

The GCM Gold Cup is an annual football tournament organised by the Tibetan diaspora since 1981, to honour the great mother of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama. The tournament's name, "Gyalyum Chenmo", means "the great mother" in Tibetan, reflecting the community's sentiment towards her.

The first tournament was held in October 1981, following the passing away of the great mother of His Holiness the Dalai Lama in January of that year. Mr Joe Tsering, the TCV Chief Accountant at that time, was the standard-bearer for this initiative.
