Dharamshala — The Tibetan writers' group, Tibet Writes, organised a three-day Tibetan Artists Festival in Dharamsala, which was attended by 30 Tibetan writers and musicians from all over the world. Bhuchung D Sonam, the festival's organiser, said the festival aimed to bring together Tibetan artists living in different countries with different cultures to discuss what art can do for Tibet and to celebrate Tibetan creativity and culture.
New Delhi — The Tibet Advocacy Alliance - India launched its advocacy week in New Delhi on Monday, coinciding with the winter session of the Indian Parliament. The Tibetan NGO members urge Indian MPs to raise the Tibet issue in Parliament and recognise Tibet as an occupied country. They also call on India to put pressure on China to end its cultural genocide in Tibet.
Mundgod — The official enthronement ceremony of 'Sharpa Choeje Rinpoche Jetsun Lobsang Dorjee' as the 105th Gaden Tripa, Holder of the Gaden Throne, the title of the spiritual head of the Gelug school of Tibetan Buddhism was held on November 26, 2024 in Gaden Monastery in South India.
Dharamshala — Tibetan Youth Congress began its bike rally in 110 cities across 20 Indian states, to draw attention to the current dire situation in Tibet, including China's ongoing actions to eradicate Tibetan culture and exploit Tibet's natural resources. The Tibetan Youth Congress urges India to adopt a resolution supporting the historical independent status of Tibet to ensure a long term security for India.
Paris — Sikyong Penpa Tsering of the Central Tibetan Administration visited European countries recently. In a speech he said: "Our primary responsibility is to resolve the long-standing Sino-Tibetan conflict. We must seek a resolution to the Tibet cause. Therefore, the policy of the Middle Way Approach, is our path forward."
Dharamshala — Tibetan writer and poet Rongwo Gendun Lhundup of Rebgong county, northeast Tibet, has been released after four years in unjust imprisonment for speaking out about the plight of Tibetan writers. Renowned Tibetan environmentalist and philanthropist Karma Samdrup was also released yesterday after 15 years of unfair imprisonment for protecting Tibet's environment.

Dharamshala — In an exclusive interview with Tibet Post International (TPI), Tibet Youth Congress (TYC) General Secretary, activist, writer and Tibetan refugee Sonam Tsering spoke about the struggles faced by Tibetans as escapees, refugees and activists. "I had no idea that I was going to leave my parents and family forever, when I escaping to a free country. They knew that if I stayed in Tibet, I would either graze animals or be sent to compulsory Chinese boarding schools run by the Chinese government and return home as a Chinese," he said.
