Dharamshala: TibetPost-27-April-2009-The 14th general body meeting of Dhomay Central Executive Committee began yesterday for 3 days at Kirti monastery in Dharamshala, in the meeting religious rituals to eliminate obstacles including long life prayers offering to His Holiness, the next main topic for the Tibetan struggle, how to protect and preserve Tibetan religion and culture, and the welfare are Tibetans from the Dhomay region of Tibet, the subject elect the new executive committee was also discussed.
Dharamshala: TibetPost-24-April2009- 108 monks, nuns and students, all of them 20 years old, attend prayer ceremonies at the main temple in Dharamshala, the youth are doing as His Holiness the Dalai Lama suggested and praying in order to accumulate collective good merits for the benefit of the Tibetan people. Dharamshala: TibetPost-22-April-Xinhua, the official mouthpiece of Chinese government, today reported the sentencing of Penkyi (aged 21) of Sakya County to "suspended death penalty", Penkyi (aged 23) from Nyinmo County to life term and Chime Lhamo (aged 20) to 10 years imprisonment for starting fires in two downtown clothing shops on March 14, 2008.
Dharamshala: TibetPost-16-April-2009 - 33 Tibetan students from Tibetan Children's Village School in Bylakuppe today staged a mock Die-in at the Chinese Embassy, chaining themselves to the fence outside the building, throwing shoes and chanting Free Tibet slogans. The protest was staged in an effort to stand in solidarity with Tibetan NGOs and supporters of the Tibet cause in marking 17 April as the Global day of protest against the sentencing of two Tibetan protesters to death in Tibet. Similar protests took place all around the world.
Dharamshala: TibetPost-24-April2009-The Tibetan Parliament in Exile (TPIE) released a press statement today, said that the Tibetan Government in Exile is deeply concerned over baseless accusation hurled by the PRC government on Phurbu Tsering Rinpoche of Karze county, eastern Tibet (Kardze Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture), a predominantly Tibetan area in Sichuan Province on weapons charges.
