Dharamshala: Ven. Ngawang Woebar, the director of the ex-political Tibetan prisoners organization, "Gu-Chu-Sum Movement" held a press conference today to observe the 'International Day in support of Victims of Torture.' The released statement said "International Day in Support of Victims of Torture is observed every year on June 26 as on that day in 1987, the United Nation's Convention against Torture came into effect.

Dharamshala: Chinese famous writer Mr. Wang Li Xiong is on his 2 months trip in Dharamshala, where the Tibetan Government  in exile based for last 50 years, he spoke about Tibet issues at a panel discussion which organized by Tibetan writers "Tibetan Pen". Titles such as Reflections on Tibet,  Discussion with the Dalai Lama,  and The Fate of Tibet are attributed to a widely know Chinese intellectual, Wang Li Xiong.

Dharamshala: Italian Confederation of Workers' Trade Unions (CISL) held a roundtable conference on 12th June 2009 at the Centro Congressi Torino Incontra, in Turin, Italy. After the tragic events of last spring, the situation in Tibet has worsened. The only way the Chinese Communist regime could object to the protests was by the repression of every form of dissent. Besides, the economic crisis has made thousands of enterprises in China shut down, causing mass dismissal of migrant workers.

Taipei: This year is the 50th anniversary of Tibetan national uprising. In July, Taiwan's extreme-metal superstars Chthonic is also known about faith will be held a concert for Tibet and Tiananmen massacre at the busy shopping district and the free concert on Tibet which named "Tibet, a global heat wave." Tibetan spiritual leader His Holiness the Dalai Lama has been invited to the concert.

Dharamshala: Two times a week James Yueyuan Zhue is in direct contact with 4,000 Chinese readers through e-mail, he speaks about democracy and human rights and in the couple of years he has spoken about the Tibet issue.  He is a part of a delegation of six Chinese writers who have spent the past week in Dharamshala, yesterday the writers had a 3 hour conversation with His Holiness the Dalia Lama during which they spoke about Tibet China relations and the future of Tibet.  Chinese writer, Mr.  Zhue said, he treated us like brothers, he is a great person and his thoughts are deeper than everyone’s.

Dharamshala: His Holiness the Dalai Lama returns from Europe yesterday with an honorary citizenship from French capital Paris.  He has been honored in this way in cities and countries thought the western world, but the holy man remains a refugee of his own country.  The Chinese government government expressed distant for the honors given to the stateless monk.  Actions and statements made by both sides suggest a stalemate in the negotiation process.
