Taipei: Thousands of Tibet supporters gathered in Taipei yesterday for a marathon concert organized by civic groups as part of a series of activities to commemorate the 1959 uprising in Tibet. Chanting "Free Tibet" and "Long live H.H the Dalai Lama," the crowd waved banners and Tibetan national flags.

Dharamshala: Over three thousand Tibetans and their Indian and foreign supporters gathered in Dharamshala today to celebrate the 74th birth anniversary of Tibetan spiritual leader His Holiness the Dalai Lama. Likewise, the anniversary also commemorated by other Tibetan communities which scattered all around world by offering long life prayers, presenting traditional dance and culture shows.

Dharamshala:  A delegation of six parliamentary members representing the Australian All-Party Parliamentary Group for Tibet presently on a visit to Dharamshala, met the Tibetan spiritual leader His Holiness the Dalai Lama yesterday. During today's press conference, the delegation expressed its intention to learn more about the challenges facing the Tibetan people today.

The bloody riots in China controled Muslim far west are a disturbing reminder of anti-Chinese violence in another troubled region — Tibet — and show how heavy-handed rule and radical resistance are pushing unrest to new heights.

Dharamshala: The Indo-Tibetan Friendship Society in south India will host the World Conscience Day on Monday (6 July) to commemorate the 74th birthday of Tibetan spiritual leader His Holiness the Dalai Lama, the online edition of The Times of India reported on 2 June.

Dharamsala: 29 July at the press-conference held in Dharamsala a nongovernmental organization labelled Sambad Nepal drew forth it's statement concerning the future of Tibetan refugees in Pokhara. Before that two representatives of the organization together with its Chairperson Nilkantha Sharma had a string of meetings with officials of Tibetan Government in Exile - His Holiness the Dalai Lama, Tibetan prime minister, Prof. Samdhong Rinpoche, the Speaker for Tibetan Parliament Penpa Tsering, and the Minister of Information and International Relations Kelsang Takla.
