BELLINGHAM, WA: TibetPost-25 April 2009-Tibetan spiritual leader, His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama gave two lectures to the crowds today (24-April-2009) at the University of California Santa Barbara.  His Holiness spoke about the peace of mind for global economic crisis and importance of Human Rights, freedom, democracy and liberty.

Dharamshala: TibetPost-24-April-2009-Reporters Without Borders (RSF), the freedom of press watch based in Paris released statement today on Tibetan magazine editor, Drokru Tsultrim who recently arested by Chinese authorities in Ngaba county, eastern Tibet. The statement said that RSF is concerned about the physical safety of journalists and website editors who have been arrested in the past few months in Tibet and neighbouring Tibetan regions.

Dharamshala: TibetPost-22-April-2009-The Tibetan Centre for Human Rights and Democracy (TCHRD) expresses its utter disappointment over the de facto expulsion of TCHRD from the United Nations Review Conference on Racism (DRC) being held in Geneva, Switzerland, from 20 -24 April 2009.

Dharamshala: TibetPost-23-April-2009- China warned US President Obama to not meet with the Tibetan spiritual leader, His Holiness the Dalai Lama today in Beijing at regular news conference of Chinese Foreign Ministry. A Chinese spokeswoman told that US President Barack Obama should not meet His Holiness the Dalai Lama, when he visits the United States in October.

Dharamshala: TibetPost-20-April-2009-A latest interview with Gyalwa Karmapa by Jaideep Sarin, Indo-Asian News Service (IANS) published on 19 April 2009. Like His Holiness the Dalai Lama who escaped from Tibet in 1959, the second highest Tibetan monk, the 17th Gyalwang Karmapa, secretly arrived in India nearly 10 years ago as a teenager.
