Dharamshala, India — The Tibet Policy Institute (TPI) has launched a new book on the Tibetan environment, entitled Tibetan Perspectives on the Tibet’s Environment, ahead of the COP26 United Nations Climate Change Conference, in the hope that it will serve as a reference for environmentalists to understand the Tibetan environment.
Dharamshala, India — A statue of late Tibetan soldier Nyima Tenzin was unveiled by Penpa Tsering, Sikyong of Central Tibetan Administration(CTA) on August 30, 2021. "The martyr statue of the late Nyima Tenzin was erected in memory of all the Tibetan soldiers who lost their lives in the line of duty for the security of India," said the Sikyong.
Dharamshala, India — A well-known Tibetan activist TenzinTsundue began his three-month travel from Ladakh to Arunachal, India to raise the issue of Tibet and the importance of Tibet to India's security. “Tibet's independence is in the long-term interest of India, how long can India suffer China?” he said.
Dharamshala, India — Central Tibetan Administration celebrated the 61st Tibetan Democracy Day in Dharamshala. Speaking at the ceremony, Sikyong said, "democracy is the most important resource to keep our freedom struggle alive and combine our capabilities. When Tibet regains its freedom, democracy is indispensable for its political, economic and cultural development."
Dharamshala, India — Tibetan Youth Congress(TYC) condemned the Chinese Communist Party's celebration of the 70th anniversary of the so-called "peaceful liberation of Tibet," saying, ‘We condemn their attempts to coerce Tibetans to celebrate these events as a victory and liberation, while Tibetans continue to suffer under the authoritarian and oppressive rule of the Chinese Communist Party.’
