Dharamshala, India — 'We urge China that the ongoing evil routine of carrying out torture, persecution and other forms of ill-treatment in the prisons in Tibet be stopped,' Speaker of the Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile, Pema Jungney said in his statement to mark the 62nd anniversary of the Tibetan national uprising day.

Guwahati, India — "Time has come for the human race to stand up for the Tibet so that the humanity can be safeguarded", said Dr Lobsang Sangay, the president of Central Tibetan Administration (CTA), based in Dharamshala of northern India.

Dharamshala, India – The Tibetan Centre for Human Rights and Democracy (TCHRD) released a new report called “Distorted Development: Chinese Discourse on the Right to Development and its Implementation in Tibet” on February 23, 2021. “Chinese conceptualisation of the right to development threatens to undermine other fundamental political, civil and cultural rights by making them subservient to economic rights” the report stated.

Dharamshala, India – “The root of our Karma and mental afflictions is ignorance,” said His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama while giving a teaching on Jangkya Rolpai Dorje's Recognizing the Mother – a song of experience of the Madhyamaka View. The virtual teaching session was held on February 8, 2021, on a special request by Lama Zopa Rinpoche and the Foundation for the Preservation of the Mahayana Tradition (FPMT).

Dharamshala, India – “This is a new beginning for Tibet. I request every one to take whatever steps possible in their own capacity. Make this commitment, that we will one day take His Holiness the Dalai Lama back to Tibet,” Tenzin Tsundue passionately remarked before finally starting his journey of 500 miles from Dharamshala to Delhi, India.

Dharamshala, India — In a press conference presided over by Wangdu Tsering, Chief Election Commissioner of the Central Tibetan Administration (CTA) and additional commissioners, Geshema Delek Wangmo and Sonam Gyaltsen, the Election commission declared the result of Preliminary election of Sikyong and Members of the 17th Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile (TPiE) on February 8, 2021. However, the revised result was announced the next day.
