Bodh Gaya — His Holiness the Dalai Lama began the preliminary empowerment of the Kalachakra initiation on January 10th, at the largest international Buddhist religious gathering held in Bodh Gaya, India.

Bodh Gaya — Sikyong Dr Lobsang Sangay, in an address at the 34th Kalachakra gathering, expressed his profound gratitude to His Holiness the Dalai Lama for conferring the 34th Kalachakra teaching at the request of Central Tibetan Administration, and also thanked the central and local Indian administration for support and assistance.

Dharamshala — The Central Tibetan Administration strongly condemns the barring of thousands of Tibetan pilgrims from taking part in the the 13-day Kalachakra teachings now taking place in Bodh Gaya, one of the four holiest places for the Buddhists around the world.

Bodh Gaya — With the commencement of His Holiness the Dalai Lama's 34th Kalachakra Initiation, social services for attendants are in full swing at the largest Buddhist congregation in Bodh Gaya. An estimated 200,000 devotees have come to attend the Kalachakra Initiation, organized by the Central Tibetan Administration.

Dharamshala — The Tibetan parliament-in-exile on Tuesday appealed to the United Nations (UN) to reaffirm its commitment and conviction on the resolutions adopted by its general assembly on Tibet and restart the Sino-Tibet dialogue.
