Dharamshala: - Facts show that there has been real "cultural genocide" in Tibet over the last 60 years. With the Tibetan heritage and its rich contribution to humanity endangered and disappearing, we must make every effort to advance the preservation of the Tibetan language, literature and culture through speaking, writing and creating of the Tibetan language.

Dharamshala: - As we celebrate World Human Rights Day 2013, we remember all those men and women who have sacrificed their lives for the cause of peace, democracy and human rights and the legacy of that struggle that we must continue to carry forward.

Dharamshala: - Recently, just prior to the Third Plenum, Chen Quanguo, the current Party Secretary of the Tibetan Autonomous Region (TAR), published an article in Qiushi ("Seeking Truth") titled 'Ensuring the Security of Tibet's Ideological Realm with the Spirit of Daring to Show the Sword'.

Dharamshala: - Our people in Tibet have kept their spirit high and alive to continue non-violence in their struggle against a highly militarized Chinese rule as a powerful message of rejection and defiance.

Dharamshala: - Does economic prosperity reduce the importance of democracy and Human Rights? China is leaving the world behind in terms of economic progress. This is undoubtedly a huge boost to the well-being of the world's largest population, and the benefits of this progress may also do much good for its economic allies, neighbors and some other developing nations.

Bath, Maine, US: - Hopes for international solidarity behind Tibetan political goals recently met another setback when China was elected to an uncontested regional seat on the United Nations Human Rights Council. Although the importance of foreign financial support should not be discounted, concrete measures to apply pressure on China to resolve human rights violations in Tibet has been in short supply.

In early 2011, I had the rare opportunity to attend a commentary session by His Holiness the Dalai Lama on Mulamadhyamakakarika (Verses on the Fundamentals of the Middle Way).
