Dharamshala — Reports have indicated that Chinese authorities have been building up the military in preparation of Tibetan Uprising Day on March 10th. Chinese authorities allegedly held a major military drill in Lhasa on March 2 coined the 'wall of steel.'

Dharamshala — Last week videos showing Lhasa's Jokhang temple in flames circulated social media sparking concerns for Tibetans all over the world. In the aftermath of the fire on February 17, questions have also emerged over Chinese censoring of the event.

Dharamshala, India — Emerging sources say a Tibetan Buddhist monk disappeared after his spiritual journey to India more than a year ago to visit his family in eastern Tibet, recently has been found imprisoned in a secret trial on an unknown charge.

Dharamshala — According to reports, three Tibetans holding valid foreign passports and visas to enter China were detained, denied entry and ultimately deported from the country last week at the Chengdu airport in Sichuan Province.

Dharamshala, India A Tibetan writer and former political prisoner was sentenced to a three-year term in prison for “inciting separatism". He was held incommunicado for over a year in northwestern China’s Qinghai province.

Dharamshala — Former political prisoner Lodoe Gyatso who was reported as missing last week, has apparently been located in Sog County where he was detained by Chinese authorities. Apparently, Lodoe Gyatso staged a solo protest in Lhasa in front of the Potala Palace on January 28.
