The spiritual leader of Tibet and Nobel Peace Prize Laureate, His Holiness the Dalai Lama is among the top 10 list of World’s Most Admired People according to the online survey conducted by the YouGov. The list of most admired people was published on Wednesday which was categorized into top 10 men and top 10 women.

A 49-year-old man has been charged in Sweden for spying on exiled Tibetans for the Chinese government. The man is accused of supplying the communist regime with information on where exiled Tibetans live, their family relationships, and their travel plans.

Dharamshala — According to reports from the United Kingdom, the Royal Court theatre based in London has pulled a play about Tibet after the British Council reportedly advised that the timing would coincide with political meetings in China.

Dharamshala — Tibetan President Dr Lobsang Sangay spent several days in Washington DC meeting Congress members including Leader Nancy Pelosi, Representatives Jim McGovern, Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, and Ted Yoho with an agenda to lobby for Tibet's Special Coordinator and the passing of the Reciprocal Access to Tibet bill.

Dharamshala — “Tibetan democracy is an exile administration. In an exile administration, the emphasis is usually on unity, a single leader and a single voice. It is understandable because the purpose is to return. Unity is paramount in such exile set-ups. Once it is a democracy, there is a contradiction because in a democracy, instead of unity, you have to support diversity. Instead of a single leader, there are oppositions. Instead of a single voice, you must have freedom of speech. Hence it is very unique and challenging,” said Tibetan President Dr Lobsang Sangay at Emory University on April 9, 2018. 

Dharamshala, India — Top Tibetan officials led by President Dr Lobsang Sangay received a delegation from the U.S. Congress, on a three-day visit to Dharamshala, India, the seat of the Central Tibetan Administration (CTA) and His Holiness the Dalai Lama, to reiterate the strong support for Tibet.
