Tibet in the 21st Century: President to speak at Sydney Opera House

Dharamshala — President Dr Lobsang Sangay, will deliver a talk, "Tibet in the 21st Century" at Sydney Opera House in Australia next month. The public talk will cover topics that include the political, environmental, cultural and economic challenges facing Tibet today.

China is guilty of murder by lack of care in Liu Xiaobo's death: RSF

Paris, France — The Paris-based international media watchdog, "Reporters Without Borders" (RSF) is deeply saddened by the news of the death of Chinese writer Liu Xiaobo, who was the 2010 Nobel peace laureate and 2004 RSF press freedom laureate. RSF holds the Chinese authorities responsible and urges them to end the house arrest of his wife, Liu Xia.

Leaders of Tibet join global community to mourn Liu Xiaobo's death

Dharamshala — Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Liu Xiaobo, China's most prominent political prisoner who co-authored a petition known as "Charter 08" calling for sweeping political reforms in China, died Thursday at a hospital in the country's northeast. He was 61.
