Tibetan spiritual leader expresses hope for Tibet in a changing China

Dharamshala — "Under leadership of Xi Jinping, I think economy and many things happened. One significant thing is he is courageously fighting corruption. So I think, same party, generally same ideology but in reality, according new circumstances, things are changing. I am always optimistic, things are changing. Over past sixty years, there have been much change and still changing,” His Holiness the Dalai Lama said, expressing his hope for change in China and Tibet.

Dharamshala — "China must address the legitimate grievances of people in Tibet," the President of Central Tibetan Administration (CTA) Dr Lobsang Sangay said, after two young Tibetans carry out self-immolation protests in Tibet recently.

Dharamshala — In accordance with the 22nd anniversary of the disappearance of 6-year old Gedhun Choekyi Nyima, the boy recognized as the 11th Panchen Lama, the Tibetan Women's Association led a march from Mcleod Ganj down the hill to lower Dharamshala on May 17th demanding his release by Chinese authorities.
