Karmapa Stands Down as Representative of Kyagu Tradition

Dharamshala: Karma Sherab Tharchin and Sonam Damdul, Two Tibetan parliament members who represent Kagyu Tradition in the Tibetan Parliament in exile yesterday held a press briefing about His Eminency the Karmapa Ogyen Trinley Dorje's resignation as representative for Kagyu Tradition at the upcoming Religious Affairs Meeting.

His Holiness the Dalai Lama Leads Tibetans in Prayer for Earthquake Victims

Dharamshala: Tibetan spiritual leader, His Holiness the Dalai Lama this morning led a mass-prayer at main Tibetan Temple (Tsuglagkhang) to mark the passing of the third week since a 7.1 Magnitude earthquake devastated Kyigudo (Chinese: Yushu) County.

Jonang Buddhist Sect and Dharamshala Tibetans offer Long-Life Prayers to His Holiness

Dharamshala: The followers of Jonang sect of Tibetan Buddhist Tradition and Tibetans living in Dharamshala, today, made grand long life prayer offerings to Tibetan spiritual leader, His Holiness the Dalai Lama at the main temple, in Dharamshala. The ceremony commemorated the 50th anniversary of His Holiness the Dalai Lama's stay in India. Their prayers were also dedicated for the victims of the earthquake disaster in Tibet.
