Riga, Latvia — Negative emotions such as anger, fear and shortsightedness, which arise in the absence of compassion and inner values, the spiritual leader of Tibet, His Holiness the Dalai Lama told a crowd of thousands of devotees on the final day of a three-day tour of the Baltic state of Latvia.

Dharamshala, HP, India — Expressing his strong commitment toward a more humane and peaceful world, the spiritual leader of Tibet said: We must work together as global citizens of a shared planet with a sense of responsibility, because, in highly today's interdependent world, "a global loss is an individual's loss as well, the same as if it benefits globally, closely benefit to each and every individuals."

New Delhi — His Holiness the Dalai Lama has called for greater emphasis on moral principles in modern education — a new approach to education, from kindergarten right through to university and urged a crowd of 2000 to pay more attention to inner values, peace of mind and nonviolence.

Boston, US — While explaining Tibet was historically a free and independent country in past centuries, His Holiness the Dalai Lama said that the people of Tibet want genuine autonomy while remaining within the PRC so they can continue to keep their unique culture, language and traditions alive.
