Volunteer Tibet students use English skills to fight local pollution

First Science Exhibition by Tibetan monastics in Dharamshala

Dharamshala: On the basis of The Library of Tibetan Works and Archives is taking place the first Science Exhibition by Monastics today as part of a year-long commemoration of 50th anniversary of the Tibetan people's uprising and establishment of the Tibetan government in exile. Six initiative groups of monks are representing six monasteries and sharing their research projects, which imply both West European scientific approach and traditional Buddhist knowledge. Lha Social Works Observes World Environment Day

Basic Joomla Workshop Improves Tibetan Webpages

Dharamshala-Mr. Martin Rasser, an Austrian web developer, offering a free workshop on 7 May on Joomla content management system.  Joomla is a free system that can be used to manage websites easily,  it also helps in designing and maintaining websites and makes the task much easier as compared to some of the complicated software that is used . Some of the NGOs including Tibetan media in Dharamshala are already using Joomla because of its easy-to-use and user friendly nature.
